Smoky Mountain National Park features thousands of acres of old growth forest, and fascinating trails, waterfalls and wildlife. Nearly 100 species of native trees can be found, as well as black bears, snakes and 1,400 species of flowering plants. Ten million people visit every year, and if you make the trip, you'll instantly understand why.

Called the Gateway to the Smokies, Gatlinburg is the region's main city, and a popular tourist destination for its rides, museums and other attractions. Also in the region you will find Pigeon Forge, Home of Dollywood - Country Legend Dolly Parton's amusement park.
